So why the name Unashamed Imaging. Well, as you may have guessed, being unashamed has a lot to do with being who you are. With a lot of magazine content and what's seen online being more planned that candid and natural moments during a wedding day, it can be hard for couples to see how their wedding celebration can still be unique and special. My business name also has someone influence from Romans 1:16. In sharing this, I really want you to know that, yes, I am a believer, and it was God, mixed with prayer and medicine that helped me beat one of the toughest battles of my life (Cancer) and I will not hide this. I also know that God has a lot to do with the success of my business, my overall physical health, and the ability to provide the experience I give you as one of my couples. "What’s in a name? That which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet.”- William Shakespeare Sometimes I read this over and over again because it's so powerful and beautiful. To me, the name and the meaning of a name signify so much. For instance, my first name Anesha actually means "the light". I know right. I'm a wedding photographer that understands how impactful lighting is to visual art, but in my normal life (outside of the amazing weddings I get to shoot) - I'm a light in this world for many different reasons. First, I push people (like you) daily to believe in themselves and to also be authentic to who you really are. So many people hide who they are because they are afraid of not fitting in; hiding this robs you of walking in your full purpose. It also robs the world of what you have to give!
How Did I Become a Wedding Photographer
Recently I was asked how I became a wedding photographer. Whenever I'm asked this question, I always think back where I started which was shooting as a volunteer photographer for a company called Kingdom Promotions. I served under that company for quite a few years before I ventured out on my own. I learned a lot by volunteering under that company, but I really learned a lot and it helped me to climb the ladder to the next phase that was planned for me.

Once we talk on the phone you will soon realize that I am still a New York girl at heart! Even though I reside in Florida, I still shoot weddings up north, and travel to New York often/when I can. I also shoot a lot in Georgia. These are the two states that I really love traveling too as well, so if you wedding is being held in any of these locations let me know. Sometimes I really miss living in New York because of the culture. I miss the found, the clothing, and the go-getter vibe and energy that New York has. Whenever I'm in Atlanta, it's like a mixture of New York and Florida. You get the southern weather and somewhat of the same living dimensions, but with some of the up north culture that I find in New York.

One thing that I don't let me Brides/Couples do is stress about their wedding. This is why one of the first things I give you (even before you book me) is my Ultimate Wedding Checklist. This is a time that is supposed to be fun, and I'm here to remind you that you really should enjoy this process as well. I also push self-care. Loving yourself starts with self-care, but it also involves knowing who you are. Oftentimes, I meet women that tear themselves apart dismissing all of the inner and outer beauty they possess. I can literally see beyond the surface into people's hearts and know where they need a little bit more love. I hear it in the way they talk, the way they stand, and more. So, when I'm photographing a Bride, and I get to capture her natural beauty, her radiant smile, and her beautiful figure - they get to see who they really are in their images and video.
