HOW THEY MET:
"We met at a known Night Club in Tallahassee, Fl named Top Flite. I was there for my best friends birthday weekend and the moment we walked in it was love at first sight. My fiancé was eating chicken and we laid eyes on each other but I was to shy to approach him. So after a few sips of my drink I was going to build up the courage to talk to him but he got up from the table to get another drink. The night went on and I did not see him the whole night. Right before the club was going to close my best friend was talking to a gentlemen which happened to be my fiancé’s friend so when he was approaching his friend so they can leave the club there I was and we looked at each other and hugged as if we have known each other for years. From that night we have been inseparable." - Ebony
HOW HE ASKED:
The proposal initially was going to be in New Orleans the end of July during my fiancé’s family reunion, but it happened 2 weeks prior on the 15th of July. Earlier in the day on July 15th my Fiancé picked up his 5 year old daughter from school and out of the blue she asked him if he was going to marry me.
He was shocked and asked what made her say that. She replied “Daddy she is the one for you “. Not knowing he had already purchased the ring and had intentions to propose soon. The ring was burning a whole in his safe and he longer could wait until the family reunion and when I got from the gym in my workout clothes we went into the room and was discussing life and future plans and before I knew it he was on one knee asking for my hand in marriage and wanting to spend the rest of his life with his best friend. I was completely out of my element because I told him that if he proposes make sure I’m dressed up and my hair and nails are done. But he followed his heart and what God allowed his daughter to confirm that I am the one for him and he proposed at the perfect time.
FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHER:
I was super excited to shoot Ebony and Ranell's Engagement-Session. Ebony and I connected on the phone and talked about living up North. Couple's get really nervous about their Engagement Sessions, so it's a step in the planning process that I share my resources to help my couple's more comfortable and ready for their session. We talked about planning for hair and makeup, while also talking about outfits and locations.
Once the initial details were figured out, I knew I had to take them to Celebration - Florida for their session. It was the best place for their session and I'm no glad they were open to traveling for the perks of that location. From the moment they arrived we clicked and I was ready to shoot. I went through my typical warm-up and then it was smooth - sailing from there. Celebration, Florida has some really pretty spots to shoot at and after a previous videoshoot in that same location; it was set that this area would compliment their look. The weather was great and they were show-stoppers. We walked along the downtown area as people turned heads whenever we stopped to capture their love. Can you blame them. These two were cute as a button and enjoying each others presence; such naturals. The best part of their session was the surprise writing in the sky near the Bohemian Hotel Celebration. A woman walking by stopped us and told us about the sign. We walked over the bridge and we were sold. You have to see it for yourself.
