The wedding veil means different things to different cultures and religions. We've seen Brides from all over the world wear them (traditionally), they show up in movie scenes that showcase weddings, and in wedding magazines that showcase bridal gowns. So, what do you do if you're not interested in wearing a wedding veil? Do you go without? Do you wear one because someone tells you that you must, so you simply give in? Nope. Don't pressure yourself to do something you don't want to do, or something that will make your uncomfortable on your special day. You don't want to regret wearing something you really don't want to on your wedding day. Wedding photography and cinematography is a reflection of your day. You don't want to look back and say, "Uh, I really wish I didn't wear that." Here are some different options instead of wearing a veil on your wedding day from a real Bride. Chiffon Cloak: "I chose a chiffon cloak as it was more in keeping with my Celtic hand-fasting. Also, I felt as it was a second marriage and I am older, that a veil was not really appropriate, but I still wanted something flowing over my gown. With using a cloak it meant I could also put my maid of honor in a silver organza one to set her apart from the other maids." - Irene Sierra, Unashamed Imaging Bride

2. Circlet: One of the most important days of your life deserves to be the most comfortable day as well. Whether you choose to wear a veil or not, you deserve to look at feel your best. A beautiful chiffon clock, circlet, or floral circlet will have you feeling like the beautiful Queen you truly are. "The best things in life are deceptively simple, yet make a big impact." If you think no one will remember the beautiful clock or circlet you wore think again. Not only will you standout because you wore something different, but you will love it when you sit back and browse through your wedding photography and watch your wedding film. These type of hairpieces are more common then you think. They don't all have to represent the Scottish background. You can have a floral circlet made by your florist that matched your wedding day bouquet.
